The most important thing we do here at Bright Smile on your 1st appointment is show our patients the right way to brush and take care of their dental health, together with a thorough scale & Polish.
That is why our new patient appointment is 1 hour long.
We give detailed oral hygiene instructions & information which is key to keeping your own teeth and maintaing good oral health & hygiene to ensure our patients keep their own teeth for life.

At our new patient appointment, 1st visit , we show our patients how to take care of their teeth by demonstrating the correct brushing technique and use of interdental brushes ( flossing and or Tepe’s /miniature bottle brushes in between the teeth ) followed by a thorough scale & polish.

The most important thing we do here at Bright Smile is showing our patients the correct way to brush their teeth.
That’s why our new patient appointments are an hour long, because we believe that detailed Oral hygiene instructions is key to the success of our patients keeping their own teeth for life.
At our new patient appointment, we show our patients not only how to brush their teeth but also the correct interdental brushes to use (either Tepe’s in between the teeth or flossing) followed by a thorough scale & polish.
By the time you leave your 1st patient appointment with us, you will have all that information for life.
And the reason this is important is because, more people now lose teeth through gum disease than tooth decay.
Patients have often said you are the last voice in my head when I’m cleaning my teeth at night with your instructions . 🦷 😅

Our patient this week has gingivitis (early gum disease). ⬇️
She will be back for her 2nd appointment in a few weeks time where we can check her gum disease is now under control and bleeding has stopped.

This lovely patient came to see me a few months ago. Her eyes welled up after her treatment when she looked in the mirror, so I asked why she was upset ? “ My son got married last month and I wish I had this treatment before the wedding photo, I couldn’t smile” 🥲
She left the surgery, delighted with her new smile!!🦷🦷
