Best toothbrush ever?

There isn’t one.

The best toothbrush is the one you actually use properly and consistently. Plenty of people maintain excellent oral hygiene with very simple brushes.

That said, we often recommend Philips Sonicare electric toothbrush. The smaller brush head makes it easier to reach those tricky areas at the back, helping you clean more effectively with less effort.

Technique always beats the tool.

🕵️‍♀️Spot the removed crack! 🕵️‍♀️
Patient requested the tooth needed root can. This was because a family friend who is a dentist had said so, as the patient was having pain on biting.
The pain was caused by a crack extending into dentine.
In the end patient was very happy pain had stopped an root canal had been avoided 😀😀😀😀

Emax Onlay

Image 1: This composite filling had sub optimal bonding protocols, that resulted in it debonding at the margins. This allows bacterial entery and infection around the filling (secondary caries). Sometimes these do not show on X-ray

Image 2: the decay has been removed using Ultra conservative techniques to remove the minimal required tooth substance for a bonded restoration

🦷 Biomimetic Onlay 🦷

Within this restoration there is a fail safe, so that the tooth will not fail due to a catastrophic failure.

Image 1: The inside (palatal) cusp of the tooth has been lost due to an existing defect/fracture. It was caused by the incompressible and unbonded nature of the old filling.
Luckily in this case the fractured cusp was above the gum line, so we were able to restore the tooth instead of extraction.
Image 2 : We made a base (Biobase) for the onlay.
Image 3 : Emax onlay was cemented

Brushing ALL sides of your teeth is very important to prevent dental decay.

The red circle 🚫 which is closest to the top, is the decay that could of been prevented if adequate interdental hygiene (flossing) had been done
