🦷 Early vs Late Orthodontic Treatment – Do you have to wait until all the adult teeth come through before starting braces?

Not always!

Many people think orthodontic treatment can only start once all adult teeth have erupted… but did you know some children can benefit from treatment from as young as 8 years old?

This is called early (interceptive) orthodontic treatment, and in the right cases it can make a huge difference 💫

Benefits of early orthodontic treatment can include:

✅ Guiding jaw growth and development
✅ Creating space for crowded teeth
✅ Helping reduce the risk of impacted teeth
✅ Correcting crossbites early
✅ Improving prominent front teeth and reducing risk of trauma/breakages
