Just a quick note to let our patients know that the practice will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday 28th April, from 8.45am to 1.30pm while our team completes annual medical emergency training. 🚑

If you need urgent dental advice during that time and cannot wait until we reopen at 1.30pm, please call 07883 070274 and clearly leave your:
• name
• date of birth
• contact number
• brief reason for your call

A member of our team will get back to you as soon as they can. 📞

🚨 Please do not attend the practice at 1.30pm unless you have first spoken to our team and been advised to come in.
All dental emergencies must be triaged first, and appointments will only be offered if one of our team has assessed your situation and asked you to attend our dedicated emergency zone. ⛔

💙 We wanted to share a quick update with patients of Rachael.

Rachael is currently recovering from a painful shoulder problem and, following medical advice, has reduced her working hours for the time being and limited some of the treatments she is able to carry out. We know this may be disappointing and inconvenient for some patients, and we are very sorry for any disruption caused.

Our team has been working hard to rearrange appointments where needed, and we will continue to keep affected patients updated. Unless you hear from us, your appointment remains unchanged. If any further changes are needed, we will be in touch as soon as possible.

If you need urgent treatment that cannot be postponed, we will do our very best to arrange for another dentist to see you. Please note that our dentists’ appointment books are very busy at the moment, so there may still be some delay.

Thank you for your patience, kindness and understanding while Rachael focuses on recovering properly.

Lights, camera… chaos 🎬

Today was part 2 of our content filming… and let’s just say we’ve not improved as much as we hoped 😅

Our amazing lead Dental Nurse/ Clinical Manager Karen😆!

Karen has worked at Truss Dental since 2019 and has worked in Dentistry for many years before🦷.

The Truss Dental team would be lost without Karen, she knows the answer to any and every question and is always on hand to help in any scenario.
She is also forever up for a laugh and a joke keeping team spirits high🤣🦷

We’re super grateful for her dedication and hard work always🫶🏽

A fun fact about Karen is that she used to work with practice owner Richard before Truss Dental ever opened😭🤣🪥

📣 We normally like to keep our posts positive, but this is something we need to address.

72 missed dental appointments in February.

That’s 20 hours of lost clinical time.

In January we had 40 missed appointments – another 13 hours gone.

In just two months that’s 33 hours of wasted clinical time.

To put that into perspective, 33 hours is enough time for around 132 dental check-ups.

When appointments are missed, that time cannot always be filled and another patient loses the chance to be seen.

We completely understand that life happens – people get ill, emergencies come up and plans change. That’s okay.

But if you can’t attend, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer the appointment to someone else.

Because of the increasing number of missed and late cancelled appointments, we now have no choice but to take a firmer stance. Patients who repeatedly miss or late cancel appointments will be de-registered from the practice.

If you need to cancel, please contact us as early as possible.
