It’s Root Canal Treatment (RCT) Day – 14th May 🦷✨

We know the words “root canal” can sound a little scary… but we promise it’s not what you think!

A root canal treatment is simply a way of saving a tooth that’s badly infected or causing pain. Instead of removing the tooth, we gently clean out the infection from inside, disinfect the area, and seal it to keep everything healthy again.

Think of it as a deep clean for the inside of your tooth 🫧

💭 Does it hurt?
Modern root canal treatments are usually no more uncomfortable than having a filling. We make sure you’re fully numb and comfortable throughout.

💭 Why not just take the tooth out?
Keeping your natural tooth is always the best option where possible – it helps with chewing, speaking, and keeps your smile looking natural.

💭 What are the signs you might need one?•Persistent toothache
•Sensitivity to hot or cold
•Swelling around the gum
•Pain when biting

If you’re worried you might need a root canal – don’t panic! Our team is here to talk you through everything and make the process as calm and comfortable as possible 💙

Saving your tooth = saving your smile 😊

It’s National Smile Month 😁✨

A whole month dedicated to celebrating healthy smiles and spreading a little positivity – we love to see it!

National Smile Month is all about raising awareness of how important good oral health is, and how small daily habits can make a BIG difference 🦷💫

Here are the golden rules for a happy, healthy smile:
🪥 Brush your teeth twice a day with fluoride toothpaste
🧵 Clean between your teeth (yes, floss counts!)🍏 Keep sugary foods and drinks to a minimum
🦷 Visit your dentist regularly

But it’s not just about teeth… it’s about confidence too 💙

A healthy smile can boost how you feel, how you interact with others, and even your overall wellbeing.

So this month, let’s focus on those little habits, book that check-up you’ve been putting off, and don’t forget to share your smile with the world 😊

It’s Mental Health Awareness Month 💙

Did you know your mental health and your oral health are more connected than you might think?

When we’re feeling stressed, anxious, or overwhelmed, it can show up in ways like:
🦷 Clenching or grinding your teeth (especially at night!)
🪥 Skipping brushing or flossing when you’re not feeling your best
🍬 Reaching for sugary snacks or drinks for comfort
😮‍💨 Dry mouth (which can increase the risk of decay and gum problems)

But here’s your gentle reminder – you don’t have to be perfect, just consistent where you can 💫

Even small things like brushing twice a day, drinking water, or booking a check-up can make a big difference (and we’re always here to help, not judge!).

Taking care of your smile is part of taking care of you 🫶

If you’ve been struggling lately, be kind to yourself – and if you need a little support with your oral health, our team is always here with a friendly face 😊

🦷 National Toothache Day 🦷

Many causes of toothache are preventable with good oral care habits.

Simple steps that help reduce the risk include:

• Brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste
• Cleaning between the teeth every day
• Limiting sugary food and drinks
• Wearing a mouthguard if you grind your teeth
• Attending regular dental check-ups

Preventing problems early is often the best way to avoid pain later.
