Inverurie and Kintore Dental Practice has an exciting opportunity for a part-time Dental Hygienist/ Therapist. The role will involve working with a well maintained and motivated patient group whom hold their oral hygiene in high regard.

The position on offer is for that of an employed hygienist/therapist with hours and days negotiable. To include 4 weeks paid holiday plus public holidays (pro rata) as well as enrolment on a company pension scheme.

The successful candidate will work as a part of an award winning team that puts patient’s oral hygiene at the heart of its core beliefs. With state of the art facilities and a large and experienced clinical team, you will be offering 30min Hygiene appointments with the assistance of an experienced dental nurse chairside during your clinics. Hygienist services are only offered on a private basis.

Salary dependant upon experience (up to £32ph).

Hi Folks,

Given the weather forecast/ severe weather warning and the worsening outlook for today we have decide to cancel and reschedule all non emergency care at the practice. Whilst the practice will remain open, for the safety of our staff and patients and to allow people to get home safely there will be no clinical appointments beyond 12pm.

If you have a scheduled appointment and have not already been contacted by the practice please give us a call.

Howdy folks!

Due to the adverse weather warnings and deep drifting snow affecting safe travel for patients and staff, we have made the decision to have a delayed start tomorrow, Monday 5th January, with a skeleton staff.

The practices will open at 10am to allow those members of our team who can travel, plenty of time to get to the practice safely.

Our team is currently working to contact affected patients who have an appointment tomorrow before 10am, to advise them of the cancellations.

All members of the team that are unable to travel will be busy shovelling snow in the hope that normal service resumes on Tuesday!

But for now, tak care & coorie doon!

Our award winning team at Inverurie Dental Practice is looking to recruit a full time qualified/experienced or trainee dental nurses or part time equivalent.

Qualified Dental Nurses wages vary depending upon experience and we will also pay your GDC fees. If you need to re register with the GDC we will help you do this and cover the costs as well as provide access to the required CPD. You will also have access to unlimited CPD via Dentinal tubules and in house CPD training.

Trainee nurses wage vary depending on experience. Trainee nurses will be enrolled on a distance learning qualification with a view to becoming a qualified dental nurse. Any training costs will be covered by the practice and paid flexible study time will also be available.

Key Responsibilities

· Providing clinical chair side support to the dentist

· Maintaining stock levels

· Setting up and decontamination of instruments

• General cleaning duties

· Maintaining and updating patient records

• General Administrative Duties

· Ability to also take on the role as receptionist/ welcoming patients at reception, Answering the phone and providing fantastic customer service, making appointments and payments, Ensure record keeping procedures are followed.

Skills Required

· Experience of EXACT (SOE) desirable

· Experience of working in dental practice/ healthcare setting is desirable but not essential

· Friendly, Enthusiastic and Willing to Learn

·Work well in a team

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Good news all, the practice IT system is back up and running and we are back open as normal.

What a start to the week! 😫

We apologise for any inconvenience caused , but we have had a major IT failure overnight at the practice resulting in us not being able to use our practice management system.

Our IT Engineer is on route but it is likely to be a few hours before we are up and running again. As such we are cancelling appointments until 11am at the earliest . A further update will be given as soon as possible. If you have an afternoon appointment at the practice and would like to rearrange it due to the inclement weather conditions please give us a call. We will take a note of your details and once our systems are back in line we will contact to reappoint you.

Given the adverse weather conditions if patients aren’t able to make it to their appointment please call at your earliest convenience to let us know.
