Highland Orthodontics was opened in 2007 by Specialist Orthodontist, Christopher Buchanan BDS, MFDS.

Highland Orthodontics treat NHS and private patients from the Highlands & Islands and the Moray and surrounding areas. Highland Orthodontics was established in 2005 by Specialist Orthodontist, Christopher Buchanan BDS, MFDS, MOrth. In 2007 Chris opened the custom built practice on Kenneth Street in Inverness offering both private and NHS treatment to patients requiring orthodontic treatment. Using state-of-the-art technology and a fully computerised practice management system in a modern, spacious environment we aim to ensure that your visits to our practice are as smooth and stress-free as possible. Our digital x-ray equipment allows images to be viewed immediately at chair side. All our staff keep up-to-date with the latest developments in orthodontics, and regularly attend courses to continually offer our patients the newest treatments available and the highest quality of service. We offer our private patients treatments using metal fixed braces, Radiance - fixed clear ceramic braces, Iconix- elegant metal braces in a ch*****ne colour and Invisalign aligner technology.

📞 A quick update from Highland Orthodontics

We’re currently experiencing a network issue affecting both our phone lines and internet services.

The good news is that appointments are running as normal, so if you’re due to visit us today, please attend as planned. 😊

At the moment, however, we’re unable to make or receive telephone calls and email response is also limited while our network provider works to resolve the issue.

⚠️ Temporary Phone System Issue

We are currently experiencing a system failure affecting incoming calls to Highland Orthodontics.

Our engineers have been working on the issue over the last two days and we hope to have normal service restored as soon as possible.

Our specialist team is taking a short break 💙

Highland Orthodontics will be closed from Thursday 9 July at 12:00pm, with our phone lines reopening on Tuesday 14 July at 10:00am.

The team will be back in on Tuesday, and the clinic will fully reopen for patients on Wednesday 15 July.

For urgent queries only during this time, please email [email protected], which will be monitored.

We have Open Days and NHS patient clinics planned over the rest of the summer and this short pause gives our team time to rest, reset and come back refreshed — ready to continue helping more people on their smile journey.
