We’re so excited for Diane as she gets ready to welcome her little one! We’ll miss having her around the practice, but we’re delighted for her as she begins this exciting new chapter.

Diane's nurse Agata made Diane some lovely cupcakes to help celebrate the occasion — a sweet treat before her big adventure begins! 🧁💕

Everyone at Deveron Dental Centre wishes Diane and her growing family lots of love, happiness and precious moments together. We can’t wait to hear all about the new arrival!

Enjoy every minute, Diane! 🫶
We look forward to welcoming you back next year.

Happy maternity leave!!!⭐

👶👶👶

Once your little one arrives, there are so many things to think about but one important thing to add to the list is registering your baby with a dentist.

You don’t need to wait until they have teeth or until there’s a problem. Getting your baby registered early helps them become familiar with visiting the dentist and gives us the opportunity to offer advice on caring for those first little teeth when they arrive.

Starting good dental habits from the very beginning can help set your child up for a lifetime of healthy smiles!

If your little one isn’t registered with a dentist yet, get in touch with us at Deveron Dental Centre to register them ✨

Choosing the right toothbrush for your little one can make a big difference when it comes to keeping those tiny teeth clean and healthy!

👶 Babies & toddlers: Choose a small, soft-bristled toothbrush with a small head that is easy to manoeuvre around their mouth.

🧒 Young children: A small-headed, soft-bristled toothbrush is ideal. Make sure the handle is comfortable for little hands and remember, brushing should still be supervised!

👦 Older children: As they become more independent, they can continue using a soft-bristled toothbrush with a small head. An electric toothbrush can also be a great option if they enjoy using one and it helps them brush effectively.

The most important thing? Whatever toothbrush you choose, encourage your child to brush twice a day with fluoride toothpaste and make sure they reach every surface of their teeth.

And don't forget — toothbrushes should be replaced when the bristles become worn or roughly every 3 months.

Meet the team! 👋

This is Sophie.

Sophie qualified as a dentist from the University of Dundee in 2023 and spent a year working at the practice as a Vocational Dental Practitioner. We were delighted that she then chose to stay on and work at the practice.

Her friendly chairside manner makes her patients feel relaxed in her care, and she enjoys all aspects of general dentistry. Sophie is warm and caring and is a great asset to the team.

She grew up in Aberdeenshire and loves living in this part of the country. Outside of Dentistry, Sophie enjoys cooking and baking, jewellery making and yoga. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Sophie is available for appointments on a Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
