🦷Migrants don’t "go to the top of the waiting list for dental treatment."

We are appalled by the dangerous and inaccurate claims by Restore Britain’s Rupert Lowe MP on migrants and access to dental care, made on the Joe Rogan podcast earlier this month.

📈Today in England over 13 million people are struggling to access NHS dental care.

But migrants are NOT at the front of the queue.

But typical migrants don’t get any preferential treatment when it comes to access.

They will struggle to secure a place with an NHS dentist just as UK residents do.

💷And migrants will pay for NHS care, unless in receipt of certain benefits.

We have had to say this before to other politicians:

✂️It wasn’t migrants that slashed the dental budget by £1.5bn since 2010.

📃It wasn’t migrants that refused to fix a broken contract fuelling the exodus from the NHS.

🌍 Indeed 30% of dentists registered to practise in the UK qualified overseas.

🎓Last year more than half of the dentists joining the workforce trained abroad.

🦷Migration has kept a service that millions depend on afloat.

✂️📃We keep seeing queues outside practices and people reaching for pliers because of choices made in Westminster.

🥁 This is not the time for peddling myths or banging drums.

We need politicians to support real reform and fair funding.

📢 An Important Update for Our Patients

​Today, one of our clinicians lost over 3 hours of appointment time due to "no-shows" and non-attendance.

​While we understand that life happens and plans change, we want to share the real-world impact of these missed slots:

​Blocked Access: Those 3 hours could have provided care to patients who are currently on our waiting list, some of whom are in urgent need of support.

​Wasted Resources: When an appointment is missed without notice, our medical staff and rooms sit idle while other patients remain desperate for an opening.

​Longer Wait Times: High non-attendance rates ultimately drive up the waiting time for everyone in our community.
​🤝 How You Can Help
​If you cannot make your scheduled time, please let us know as soon as possible. Even a few hours' notice allows us to offer that slot to a patient who truly needs it.
