Introducing our Principle Dentist Siri,

Hello! I am Siri, the Principal Dentist at Holbeach Dental Surgery, Fen House Dental Practice Gosberton, Main Ridge West Dental Practice and Pinchbeck Dental Surgery. I qualified as a dentist in 2009 and went on to become registered with the GDC (243680) in 2013. Since then, I have worked in several practices in England and Scotland. I decided to follow my dreams, buy my practice, and settle in Lincolnshire.

I am very well known for my gentle and caring approach and special interest in dealing with children and anxious people. Along with general dentistry, I enjoy cosmetic treatments including white fillings, veneers, crowns and bridge work. Dentistry is my passion and I always go that extra mile to provide better patient care, out of a patient's best interest. Outside dentistry, I enjoy yoga and spending time with my 2 lovely children and my husband.

Dear Patients,
We kindly remind you to book your next routine examination, which is usually due every six months, or any further treatment appointments as advised by your clinician.
Our reception team is currently working through overdue recalls and incomplete courses of treatment. If you believe you are overdue, please contact us to arrange an appointment.
Please note that due to a high demand for appointments and an extensive new-patient waiting list, patients who have not attended regularly or have not been seen for over two years may be de-registered in order to make space for patients awaiting care.
We would also like to remind you that the practice operates a 24-hour cancellation policy, which we kindly ask all patients to respect.
As we have recently welcomed additional staff members and new clinicians to the practice, we regret that we cannot always guarantee you will be seen by the same clinician as at your previous visit, due to high appointment demand.
We recommend routine dental examinations every six months to maintain good oral health. Patients assessed as low caries risk may be advised to attend every 9–12 months, depending on individual needs.
If you no longer wish to continue your care with our practice or are receiving dental treatment elsewhere, we would appreciate you informing us so that your appointment space may be offered to patients on our waiting list.
Thank you for your understanding and continued cooperation.
Kind regards,
Holbeach Dental Surgery

🦷 Routine Dental Check-Up Frequency for Children
The NHS does not specify a fixed minimum age interval in law (like always every 6 months), but it uses clinical guidance and dentists’ judgement to decide how often a child should be seen based on their risk of dental problems.
Typical intervals for children:
🟢 Around every 6 to 12 months: This is the usual range recommended for most children, depending on their oral health risk.
If a child has healthy teeth and low risk of problems → often about once a year.
If a child has higher risk (decay, poor brushing, diet issues) → can be recommended more often, e.g., every 3–6 months.
The dentist should recommend the next check-up date after each visit based on what is best for that child.
🧒 First Dental Visit
The NHS encourages parents to take a child to the dentist when the first baby teeth appear or by their first birthday, so the dentist can check early and give guidance on care and decay prevention.
📋 What Happens at Check-Ups
At a dental exam, the dentist will typically:
Examine teeth and gums and look for decay or other issues.
Advise on brushing, diet, fluoride use and other preventive care.
Decide when to recall your child for the next review, tailored to their needs.

Friendly reminder to please book your child/children in for an examination appointment. With the school holidays coming up, it’s a great opportunity to have them checked✅
Thank you🌸

Dear Patients and Members of the Holbeach Community,
Please note that all adult NHS dental places at Holbeach Dental Surgery are now fully allocated due to limited availability.
At present, we are accepting:
New NHS patients under the age of 18, and
Private patients of all ages.
We kindly remind our registered NHS and private patients to book their routine examination appointments at 6, 9, or 12 months, in line with their dentist’s recommendation. This is essential to help maintain your NHS registration. Due to the high demand for dental appointments and the current shortage of dentists, we strongly encourage patients to book their next routine examination at each visit.
If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact the practice. Our team will be happy to assist you.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Kind regards,
Holbeach Dental surgery
