Sometimes the best way to help little ones feel confident at the dentist is to let their favourite teddy take the lead! 🥰

Letting Puppy sit in the dental chair first gives children the chance to watch, explore and understand what’s going to happen before it’s their turn. This is called acclimatisation- gradually getting children comfortable with the sights, sounds and surroundings of the dental practice. 🪥✨

Once they’ve seen Puppy have a go, the dental chair doesn’t seem quite so scary… and suddenly it’s their turn! 🐶➡️👧

Small steps can make a BIG difference when it comes to building positive dental experiences and confidence for future visits. 💚

Meet Rebecca! 🦷💙

Rebecca is one of our newest hygienists to join the team and works with us on Mondays. She loves helping anxious patients overcome their worries about dentistry.

Her special interests in dentistry include providing more complex periodontal treatment, and is very proud of her success stories. She has also recently been undertaking more training in neurodivergence and is passionate about making the dental environment accessible for all patients.

Dental Top Tip: interdental cleaning! Interdental brushes can clean the last 40% of plaque your toothbrush can’t reach, making them one of your most important tools 🦷

Hobbies: outside of dentistry Rebecca loves running and always has races in the calendar, and she is also an avid reader
