There has been a lot said in the press in recent days regarding costs for PPE, Chapel House will NOT be charging patients extra for the PPE necessary to complete their treatment.

As members of the dental profession, we found out at the same time as the wider general public that we can reopen our practice on the 8th June.

This has come as a total surprise as there has been little if any communication from the government or Department of Health as to when we could reopen our practices to patients.

We are ensuring our practice will be safely reopened from the shutdown processes we undertook, we have social distancing measures in place along with hand sanitising stations, and have sourced a heightened level of protective personal equipment to use when we treat you (the images of hospital staff in full gowns, masks and visors in intensive care units will be similar for some procedures such as fillings, root canal treatments etc) unfortunately this type of PPE is still scarce and we have had the necessary items on back order for many weeks now.

Please bear with us during this time, we are still operating a telephone system for patients with a dental emergency and these patients along with others already on our list of urgent treatment needed will be contacted as soon as we open our appointment book.

Our Emergency contact number is 07716 640763 and we are available between 9.00am and 7.00pm Monday to Friday and weekends between 9.00am and 12.00pm.

On the advice of NHS England and the Chief Dental Officer we are now closed for routine treatment, we hope to reopen on the 4th July, we will update this page as and when we receive further information.

For anyone experiencing extreme pain, swelling, trauma or bleeding please get in touch with us on 07716 640763, and if necessary we can refer you to the local emergency dental clinic, these have been set up to treat patients whilst restrictions to normal practice are in place.
