❓ Thursday FAQ ❓

“Why do my gums bleed when I brush?”

Bleeding gums are often one of the first signs that your gums need a little extra attention. While it can be common, it isn’t something you should ignore.

Maintaining a good oral hygiene routine and attending regular dental check-ups can help keep your gums healthy and prevent more serious problems from developing.

🌡️ Extreme Heat Forecast This Week

With very high temperatures forecast across Herefordshire this week, we would like to remind our patients to take extra care when travelling and attending appointments.

💧 Please stay hydrated and bring water with you where possible.

☀️ Allow extra time for your journey and avoid unnecessary time in direct sunlight.

👒 If you are attending with children, elderly relatives, or anyone who may be more vulnerable to the effects of heat, please ensure they have access to water and appropriate sun protection.

If you have an appointment booked and have concerns about travelling or attending due to the extreme weather, please contact our team and we will be happy to discuss the best option for you.

Stay safe and keep cool,

The Willows Dentistry Team.

🦷 Thursday FAQ 🦷

What's the difference between composite bonding and veneers?

Composite bonding involves applying tooth-coloured composite material directly to the surface of the tooth to improve its appearance. It is usually a minimally invasive treatment and can often be completed in a single appointment.

Veneers are thin porcelain shells that are custom-made and bonded to the front surface of the teeth. They typically require more planning and are designed to enhance the shape, colour and overall appearance of a smile.

Both treatments can achieve beautiful results, but the most suitable option depends on your individual smile goals and dental health.
