Wow! What a Staff Forum ✨

Phil, our CEO, took us through how far we’ve come and what lies ahead. The highlight? Our current building works are taking shape 🏗️ The first phase will be finished in the early new year, and the finished building, including a bigger Digestive Health Centre, is set to open around May 2027. Plus we touched on plans for a second site.

We toasted some proud moments, including NJR accreditation, two UK Customer Experience Awards finals and our strongest month ever. 🏥

Growth brings change, and change can bring challenges. So we explored the ways colleagues can share ideas and concerns, before Sophie from HR talked us through what our staff survey revealed. She then presented our Shining Star and Team Impact awards, and we’ll be celebrating our winners over the coming weeks. Keep an eye out!

To round things off, Katie, our IPC Lead, put the team’s infection prevention knowledge to the test for International Infection Prevention Week, with chocolate prizes for correct answers! 🍫

Yesterday was World Menopause Day, and we have some news to share. 💜

We’ve signed the Menopause Workplace Pledge, committing to support colleagues going through menopause at work. We’ve already introduced a menopause policy and shared a week of information to build our team’s knowledge, and we’re proud to keep that momentum going.

Women’s health matters to us, both in the care we give our patients and in how we look after our own team.

“I was referred via NHS. Very nervous and worried about my appointment. From the moment I entered the building, friendly staff booked me in at reception, offered me a hot drink and told me where my appointment would take place. I was then greeted and shown into the doctor who asked me how he could help me today, I told him the issues I was having he was attentive, listened and did not rush the appointment, I was examined, then sent for further test, the staff who profited the following test where exactly the same, very friendly and caring. And the end of the test I saw the original doctor who told me the results, thankfully good. Wished me well and said it was a pleasure to meet me, booking me in for a follow up in 6wks time if needed but could cancel if not. Overall an amazing experience. Thank you” ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
