As well as improving our appearance and boosting our confidence, smiling has been linked to improved mental health - by putting ourselves in a better mood and having a lifting effect on those around us.

Today marks the start of National Smile Month!

As one of our best assets, it is important that we give our smiles the best care possible. With this year's theme being 'Love your Smile", over the next month we will be supporting the campaign by raising awareness of the importance and benefits of having good oral health and a healthy smile.

The first focus is about caring for your smile - did you know that 25% of adults do not brush their teeth twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste! It is important to brush for two minutes last thing at night and at one other time in the day.
