On the 29th of Oct Amy 1 of our dental nursing team is offering free 30min dental health education appointments for children. These appointments will include brushing techniques, use of disclosing tablets and tips for a tooth healthy diet. These appointments are part of Amy's training to become a qualified Oral Health Educator. Appointments are available between 10am and 12pm. To book please call the practice on 01423503428

A professional and parent friendly review for:

Oral B Stages KIDS Electric Toothbrushes. 3yrs+

It’s been 10 weeks since I switched our very own little ones to electric toothbrushes at just 2yrs and 4yrs.

With our very determined two year old I had anticipated yet another failed attempt to move away from the good old two man pin down technique 🤪 I’m genuinely shocked to say I’ve been proven wrong and we now have 2 happy Brushers 🙌🏼

If your met with the same daily brushing battles do consider trying the switch, you may just be surprised. More crucially, electric brushing can greatly improve plaque control as seen in my own lovely patients Coppice View Dental Care

Here’s some key pros and cons of the Oral B Stages Electric Brushes

The Pros ❤️
- great small brush heads and softer bristled appropriate for little mouths
- more effective brushing when it’s a battle!
- 7 day battery life on average.
- Disney themed with changeable character stickers. Fantastic idea and definitely brought back some interest when the novelty wore off.
- Interactive Disney app linked to the brushes. Great for increasing the brushing time on those difficult days.

The Cons ☹️
- Brush heads get worn out quickly like most children’s manual brushes but cost a little more per head at around £8-10 per 4pk.
