One of the best parts of my job is visiting my customers and presenting them awards. Today was another special one with Joe McGill at Wjnchester Orthodontics. I am grateful for the relationship we have built and I get lots of new Spark Drs referred to me from Joe. Here’s to the next one!

The BOC is always my favourite dental event of the year, it’s an opportunity to catch up with customers and colleagues. This year there will also be a very worthwhile charity dip to raise funds for MND Association and support dear Jon (Joff) Machell who is fighting this terrible disease. I love fancy dress so I am already planning my outfit! Let’s all show up for this, which is literally a dip in the ocean compared to the ongoing struggles this disease gives to people who are diagnosed and their friends and family.

It’s always lovely when customers become friends 💙 So happy to present Kostas Spathoulas with his award for 500 Spark cases today. He’s already blown this number out of the water with his continuing support. I especially love how he is looking out for our next innovations and providing useful feedback on how he finds them. Looking forward to the next award….and balloons 🎈

Recently while I’ve been out visiting customers, I’ve had a few comments about my appearance.

And honestly… when did it become normal to comment on people’s appearance like that?

What might feel like a throwaway comment to one person can sit in someone else’s head for days (or during the 2am anxiety hour IYKYK). It can make you question yourself, overthink, and suddenly become aware of things you weren’t even worried about before.

We really never know what someone is carrying behind the smile they showed you in that moment.

So maybe let’s normalise kindness a bit more. Or if you’ve got nothing nice to say… maybe just keep it to yourself 🤍
