‘COVID-19 update ‘ 20th June 2020
The first minister of Scotland announced on 18th June that Dental Practices will be able to re-open from Monday 22nd June.
We are unfortunately not able to re-open our surgery at this time because of some preparations, for safe environment for our patients and staff is still in progress, need to be done before re-opening. We are hoping to open as soon as possible the dental surgery after The Health Board inspection and certification but will not be open on Monday 22nd .
The team wants you to know we’re thinking of you. We want to share some of the things we have been working on here at North Street Dental Practice and some of the changes you will see.
After re-opening, treatment options and procedures are very restricted and what we can carry out at surgery is limited. We are unable to carry out any dental procedure that involves the production of aerosols. Therefore are limited to the equipment that we can use, we cannot use dental drills, scalers, etc.
We will be limiting the number of people (maximum 10 persons per day) we provide care to at one time to support social distancing, the practice’s door will remain closed and the answering machine will remain on, only to provide the emergency for those in pain.
After re-opening, please make appointment before attendance and Please attend your appointment alone. Only those who have appointments will be allowed access to the building.
If you are early for your appointment, we will be asking patients to wait in their vehicles and we will text you when your room and provider are ready for you.
You may also notice different masks and uniforms. We want to assure you we have the best sterilization protocols in place and are closely following NHS Scotland recommend.
