⚠️⚠️ Coronavirus Update ⚠️⚠️

Although, as per today’s announcement, we have moved into a lockdown similar to that of last March, the practice will remain open.

Care will be delivered the same way in which it has been since being re-introduced in November 2020.

Please keep in mind the following:

🦷 We have a limited number of appointments available each day to allow for our increased cleaning protocols and to accommodate social distancing. In addition, we need to prioritise urgent care. All of this may mean you are not able to get an appointment for non-urgent care as quickly as you would like. Please be assured that we will give you an appropriate appointment as soon as possible.

🦷 If you have a dental emergency and require an urgent appointment, please phone as early in the day as possible to give us the best chance of helping you quickly.

🦷 Please only attend the practice if you have an appointment. Our friendly reception team are available on 0141 882 0522 to help with any queries.

🦷 If you or anyone in your household have any symptoms of coronavirus, are waiting on a test or the results from one, or are self-isolating, please do not attend your appointment, and contact us as soon possible to re-schedule.

🦷 If you are attending the practice, please arrive no more than 5 minutes before your appointment time, and wear a face covering while in the waiting area and moving around the practice. Please also ensure you attend alone, unless you’re bringing someone you care for.

🦷 Cosmetic treatments are deemed non-essential and unfortunately will need to be postponed until we are out of tier 4. If you have such an appointment arranged, we will be in touch to reschedule.

🎄Christmas Arrangements🎄

The practice will close for planned appointments on Wed 23rd Dec at 5pm, and re-open on Tues 5th Jan at 9am.

If you require emergency dental care on Christmas Eve, or 29-31 Dec, please contact the practice on 0141 882 0522 between 9am and 5pm. We strongly advise that you phone as early in the day as possible as this gives us the best chance of helping you quickly.

Out-with these hours, you should phone NHS24 on 111 for any dental emergencies.

We would like to wish all of our patients a very Merry Christmas, and all the best for what will hopefully be a better 2021!

⚠️⚠️ Coronavirus (Covid-19) Update ⚠️⚠️

Yesterday the Scottish Government announced that dental practices will permitted to re-open for urgent care from Monday 22nd June.

Whilst this announcement moves us closer to re-opening, we do not expect to do so until MONDAY 29th JUNE: the safety of our staff and patients is our main priority and we are still finalising some changes in the practice to allow for social distancing as much as possible.

Until then, we will still be available by phone for advice and triage of any dental problems on 0141 882 0522, Monday - Friday, 9am-6pm. Outwith these hours, you should phone NHS24 on 111 if you have a dental emergency.

Please be aware that we have to operate a bit differently for the time being:

🦷 All NHS dental practices will operate a phased return and initially will only be able to see patients for URGENT care. If you have a dental problem, please phone the practice on 0141 882 0522 where one of our team will triage you: they will ask you a lot of questions and this will allow us to allocate appointments appropriately.

🦷 We are very limited as to the number of patients we can see per day and the types of treatment we can provide. We will only be able to do procedures that don’t involve the drills, scaler, air and water. If you urgently require treatment that does involve these, we may need to refer you to an Urgent Dental Care Centre.

🦷 We are trying to minimise the number of staff in the practice at any one time, so are working on a rota system. If you do need to attend for an urgent appointment, this may mean that you do not get to see your own dentist.

🦷 Visiting the practice will be very different to what you have been used to. Prior to your appointment, we will talk you through the changes on the phone and if possible, email you a detailed patient information leaflet to read.

We don’t know yet when routine dental care will resume. When it does, we will update our page and contact patients to rearrange appointments that were cancelled prior to or during lockdown. For now, please only phone the practice if you have an urgent problem.

We really appreciate your patience: we know our patients are likely as frustrated as we are. However, we must follow government advice to help protect everyone.

Stay safe and see you soon 🌈

⚠️⚠️ Coronavirus (Covid-19) Update ⚠️⚠️

In accordance with instructions tonight from Scottish Government and the Chief Dental Officer, the practice is now completely closed. Only patients with severe symptoms of infection, bleeding or trauma will be seen for emergency dental treatment at the present time.

If this applies, I will be available for advice by phone on 0141 882 0522 Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm. Outwith these hours, please phone NHS24 on 111.

Please take heed of current Government advice:
‼️Stay at home
‼️Only go outside for food, health reasons or work (where this absolutely cannot be done from home)
‼️Stay 2 metres (6ft) away from other people
‼️Wash your hands as soon as you get home

Stay safe,

Katrina

⚠️⚠️ Coronavirus (Covid-19) Update ⚠️⚠️

Following updated guidance from the Scottish Government regarding the developing Coronavirus outbreak, I believe I have no option but to temporarily postpone routine dental treatments for our patients. The well-being of my staff and my patients is my main priority, and in these uncertain times, providing routine treatments poses unnecessary risk.

If you have an appointment arranged over the coming weeks, a member of the team will be in touch with you directly over the next few days.

We will of course continue to provide urgent dental care to our patients. If you have a dental emergency such as pain, swelling, abnormal bleeding or trauma, please phone us on 0141 882 0522.

We will still be available on the phone during our normal working hours to provide further information and advice, so please do not hesitate to contact us.

We are looking forward to being back to business as usual ASAP. In the meantime, please take good care of yourselves and continue to follow Government advice.

With my very best wishes,
Katrina

The well-being of our patients and staff remains our main priority.

Thank you.

It’s been a bittersweet week at the practice: we sadly said goodbye to Ross, who has been a valued member of our team for the past year. We wish him lots of luck in his new post and will really miss him. However, Jonathan has taken over the reigns and we’re sure he’ll prove just as popular with our lovely patients! We all had a fab night out on Friday to say a big cheerio to one and a big hello to the other!
