💙🧡World Cancer Day 🧡💙
Today we stand with everyone affected by cancer and aim to raise awareness of oral cancer.
Most mouth changes are not cancer. However, it’s important to get anything that doesn’t heal or feels unusual after a couple of weeks checked, just to be safe.
Speak to your Dentist if you have concerns about any of the following:
⚠️ A sore, ulcer, or patch in the mouth that doesn’t heal after 2–3 weeks
👄 Red, white, or mixed patches anywhere in the mouth or on the tongue
🔴 Unexplained bleeding, numbness, or tingling in the mouth or lips
🦷 Loose teeth without an obvious dental cause
😬 Difficulty chewing, swallowing, or moving the jaw or tongue
🗣️ Persistent hoarseness or changes in speech
🤕 A lump, swelling, or thickening in the mouth, jaw, neck, or throat
👂 Ear pain that doesn’t seem related to an ear infection
📉 Unexplained weight loss
Routine dental check ups are key in spotting early changes.
