The truth is, both can clean your teeth effectively when used properly. However, electric toothbrushes can make it easier to remove plaque consistently, especially for children, orthodontic patients, or anyone who struggles with brushing technique.

At Elvetham Dental, we often recommend electric brushes because built-in timers and oscillating heads help patients brush more thoroughly. That said, a manual toothbrush used correctly is still a great option.
