Many of our patients come to us with an older dental bridge and wonder if there is a more "independent" way to replace a missing tooth. While bridges have been a standard solution for years, dental implants offer a distinct clinical advantage. Here is why many patients are choosing to make the switch:

1. Protecting Your Natural Teeth A traditional bridge requires the healthy "anchor" teeth on either side to be filed down to support the restoration. An implant is self-supporting; it stands alone without needing to involve or alter your neighbouring healthy teeth.
2. Bone Health When a tooth is missing, the jawbone can naturally begin to shrink over time. Because an implant acts like a tooth "root," it provides the necessary stimulation to help preserve your natural bone structure.
