🏃‍♀️☀️ There’s been some serious mileage happening outside Elmsleigh House this summer!

We’re incredibly proud of our team for taking on some brilliant running challenges, especially during some seriously hot weather. 🥵

A huge congratulations to our hygienist Gill, who completed an incredible 50km competitive run. Yes, 50 kilometres! An amazing achievement and very well deserved medal. 🏅👏

Our nurse Lou has also been putting in the miles, completing the Hart 4 Relay in sweltering conditions. And she’s not stopping there...

Lou and fellow nurse Domi are currently training together for a half marathon, so there are plenty more miles ahead for these two! 💪🏃‍♀️

We love seeing what our team gets up to away from the clinic, although this lot are making the rest of us feel slightly lazy! 😂

Well done Gill, Lou and Domi. We’re all cheering you on! 💙

💕 A very special new arrival at Elmsleigh House!

We’re absolutely delighted to share that our lovely dental nurse Kamala and her husband welcomed their beautiful baby daughter, Joon, on 6th August. 👶💗

Just look at that gorgeous little face! 🥹

We’re sending Kamala and her family so much love as they enjoy these precious first weeks together. We hope there are plenty of cuddles, a little bit of sleep, and lots of wonderful memories being made.

🦷 New on the blog: How dental implants and restorative dentistry transformed Mr G’s smile

That was the situation facing Mr G when he came to Elmsleigh House.

With missing back teeth alongside tooth wear, decay and failing fillings, his treatment needed to look at the health and function of his whole mouth, rather than simply replacing individual teeth.

Through careful planning, our team combined dental implants and restorative dentistry to rebuild his bite, restore his worn teeth and create a healthier, more balanced smile. ✨

This week, we’re introducing Professor Bill Sharpling, our highly experienced Clinical Dental Technician and dentures expert at Elmsleigh House. 🦷

Bill has a special interest in removable and implant-stabilised dentures, working closely with our dentists and implant team to create carefully planned solutions tailored to each individual patient.

His experience extends far beyond the clinic. Bill is Associate Dean for Continuing Professional Development and Director of the London Dental Education Centre at King’s College London, has lectured extensively in the UK and internationally, and is involved in education, research and the wider dental profession. 🎓

He’s also no stranger to recognition! We were incredibly proud to see Bill named in the Dentistry Top 50 again in 2026, recognising some of the most influential people in UK dentistry. ⭐️

We’re very fortunate to have such a wealth of knowledge and experience within the Elmsleigh House team. 💙

Restoring function, protecting teeth and transforming smiles ✨

When Mr G came to Elmsleigh House, years of tooth wear, failing fillings and missing back teeth had left him struggling to chew comfortably and had started to affect his front teeth too.

Working together, our team created a treatment plan that combined dental implants with cosmetic and restorative dentistry to rebuild both his smile and his bite. While the implants healed, we restored the worn teeth, replaced old fillings and carefully adjusted his bite before completing treatment with crowns and a bridge.

The result? A fully restored, functional smile that allows Mr G to eat comfortably again while helping to protect his teeth for the future.
