💙 Meet Sophie, one of our lovely Dental Nurses at Elmsleigh House!

Sophie joined our team in September 2020, bringing with her valuable experience in dental nursing and a passion for patient care.

One of the things Sophie particularly enjoys about working at Elmsleigh House is being part of a specialist, multidisciplinary dental clinic, where different areas of dentistry come together to provide patients with comprehensive, personalised care. 🦷

Having been with us for six years now, Sophie is a valued member of our nursing team, helping to support our clinicians and ensure patients feel comfortable and well looked after throughout their visits.

We're very lucky to have her as part of the Elmsleigh House family! 💙

For Leigh, the thought of having dental implants was understandably daunting. Knowing that major dental treatment was needed, there were plenty of nerves and uncertainties before that first appointment.

But with Hugh and the team by her side, what initially felt overwhelming became a much more comfortable and reassuring experience. 🦷

💙 65 years of caring for Farnham 💙

This year marks a very special milestone for Elmsleigh House Dental Clinic as we celebrate 65 years of caring for generations of patients in Farnham and the surrounding community.

Our story began in 1961, when Hugh Meyer established the practice. In 1986, our Principal Dentist Tim Thackrah joined the team, making 2026 a double celebration as Tim marks an incredible 40 years at Elmsleigh House. 🥂

Quite a lot has changed over the decades! From major refurbishments and advances in dentistry to the state-of-the-art clinic and multidisciplinary team we have today, Elmsleigh House has continued to evolve while staying true to the values on which the practice was built.

Some of the patients we care for today are the children and grandchildren of people who first walked through our doors decades ago, and that is something we're incredibly proud of. 🦷✨

To every patient, team member and colleague who has been part of our story over the last 65 years, thank you.

👋 Meet Becky, one of our lovely Dental Hygienists at Elmsleigh House!

Becky joined us in March 2025, bringing with her experience across both NHS and private dentistry. 💙

Her dental career began with a Certificate of Higher Education in Dental Nursing in 2017, before she continued her studies at the University of Portsmouth, graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Dental Hygiene in 2022. 🦷✨

As part of our fantastic hygiene team, Becky helps our patients keep their teeth and gums healthy, as well as providing enhanced professional cleans using Airflow technology.

Our hygienists are always popular and appointments can book well ahead, so if you're due a visit with Becky or another member of the team, we'd recommend getting your next appointment in the diary.

And having recently celebrated her 30th birthday, it seems like the perfect time to give Becky a proper introduction! 🥰

🎈🎂 Happy 30th Birthday, Becky! 🎂🎈

A very special birthday at Elmsleigh House this week as our lovely hygienist Becky turns 30!

We couldn’t let the occasion pass without a little celebration at the clinic earlier in the week, complete with balloons and some beautiful birthday flowers from Castle Street Flowers. 💐

Becky is such a valued member of the Elmsleigh House team, and we hope she has the most wonderful day celebrating this milestone birthday.

👋 Meet Ellen, our Dental Therapist

Ellen has been part of the dental profession for more than 30 years, beginning her career as a dental nurse in 1991 before continuing her training at the Royal London Hospital School of Dentistry.

In 1995, she gained her Diploma in Dental Hygiene as well as a Diploma with distinction in Dental Therapy. 🦷✨

Today, Ellen is an important part of our hygiene team at Elmsleigh House, helping patients maintain healthy teeth and gums with professional hygiene care, including Airflow technology for an enhanced clean.

Our hygiene appointments are always popular and often book well in advance, which is testament to the care Ellen and the rest of our fantastic hygiene team provide. 💙
