Millions of us do it, though few of us realise we do - but getting the right treatment can be life-changing.

Positive Thinking Day: Positive Changes for Your Smile

Positive changes don’t have to be big ones.

When it comes to your oral health, small, consistent steps can make a real difference – and today is a great reminder to focus on what you can do for your smile.

Improve your brushing routine
Start cleaning between your teeth each day
Make water your everyday drink
Think about how often you’re having sugary snacks and drinks
Keep on top of your dental and hygiene care

And if things haven’t quite gone to plan lately, that’s OK too. The important thing is deciding what positive change you can make from today onwards.

Good oral health is built through everyday habits – not perfection.

So this Positive Thinking Day, choose one small positive change for your oral health and keep it going.

Read, Smile, Learn!

Look who we caught having a read and smile at lunchtime!

Yesterday was Read a Book Day, and tomorrow is International Literacy Day – so we thought it was the perfect opportunity to celebrate the importance of reading and learning at every age.

For little ones, books can also be a brilliant way to introduce healthy habits in a fun and familiar way – including looking after their teeth, visiting the dentist and understanding why our smiles need a little care every day.

So, we’d love to know…

What was your favourite book as a child?
Or, if you have little ones at home, what’s their current bedtime favourite?

Pop your recommendations in the comments – we might even discover a few new favourites for our team!

Feedback Friday!

With such beautiful weather recently we haven't done a Feedback Friday for a while....but with the slight change we decided we needed a little boost!

And what a lovely way to finish the week! We’re always so grateful when our patients take the time to share their experience with us.

Receiving feedback like this means so much to the whole team and we’re delighted to have been part of this patient’s smile journey.

Thank you for trusting us with your care - and for such kind words.

Our latest makeover is complete!

We’ve been busy giving our new Treatment Coordinator (TCO) room a bit of a transformation, and we’re so pleased with how it has turned out!

We wanted to create a space that feels calm, welcoming and a little less clinical – somewhere you can sit comfortably, have a chat, ask questions and talk through your dental care and treatment options with our team.

Like this post if you love the makeover as much as we do!

Follow our page to keep up with everything happening at the practice – we’ve got plenty more to share.

And, of course, if you’re passing, pop in and say hello. We’d love to see you and show you our lovely new space in person!

One of the nicest parts of working at Wickham Dental Practice is seeing our patients grow in confidence and gain happy, healthy smiles.

Sometimes that's helping someone out of pain.
Sometimes it's supporting a nervous patient through treatment.
Sometimes it's simply hearing "that wasn't as bad as I expected."

Those little moments remind us why we love what we do.

Thank you to all of our wonderful patients for trusting us with your smiles.

What a week!

It's certainly felt like summer has arrived this week, and we hope you've managed to stay cool and enjoy the sunshine.

A gentle reminder that keeping well hydrated is just as good for your mouth as it is for the rest of your body. Water helps keep your mouth comfortable, supports healthy saliva flow and is always the best choice for your teeth.

If you've been enjoying plenty of ice creams, iced coffees or cold drinks and noticed your teeth feeling a little sensitive, don't ignore it. Tooth sensitivity can often be treated, and we'd be happy to help.

From everyone at Wickham Dental, we hope you have a relaxing, sunny weekend and we look forward to welcoming you next week.
