📣 Important Information for our patients 📣
As a valued patient of Bonnybridge Dental Practice we would like to take this opportunity to keep all of our patients up to date with the most recent developments within NHS dentistry.
Firstly, we would like to dispel any rumours that we are now a fully private practice - this is simply not the case.
The Scottish Government has undertaken a full review into the provision of NHS dentistry and is making significant changes - these changes will take effect on 1st November 2023 and the main points summarised as follows;
• Traditional 6 monthly check ups for adults (>18 years old) will be replaced by check ups at intervals of 12, 18 or 24 months based on each patients clinical needs.
• If your dentist feels you are at a higher risk (decay, gum disease, etc) then they may wish you to attend more frequently than 12 monthly.
• If you have any issue needing checked between check ups (pain, swelling, lost crown, broken tooth, etc etc) then you will be able to attend the practice for an unscheduled care appointment - please see table below for costs.
