It was such an honour to not only make the final 5 but to be highly commended. For those who know me, you know I’m not one to chase fancy awards, but just to work hard and put patients first. So when the team at Shiraz Endo suggested putting my name forward I was a bit reluctant initially. Thankyou to everyone who has supported me, taught me and especially Shiraz Endo for letting me join your amazing team. I’ll see everyone when I’m back from maternity in a few months!

So after five and a half years today I said goodbye to Sheldon dental centre. Along the way I have had the pleasure to work with some amazing colleagues who I am lucky enough to call friends and met some amazing patients who have put so much trust is me, and have supported me to become the dentist I am today. I am forever grateful to you all.

So today was a landmark for me to take the next step in my career progression. Today was my last day seeing adults on the NHS at Sheldon dental centre. It was a tough decision but you all deserve more of my time and better materials than I can provide on the NHS. I will still be at Sheldon on a Thursday and we are signing patients up to denplan to help spread costs to make it easier. I look forward to now being able to provide the best care I possibly can for you all. 🥰

So after a year out for maternity I restarted my implant studies this week back at the Eastman dental institute. This week we were doing impressions, making temporary crowns and assessing occlusion. My brain is full and I’m knackered so back to work for a break!

So for those who didn’t know yet, I am back from maternity leave, with my hands a little more full than before! (Don’t worry, my apprentice won’t be there normally- one patient was all he could deal with seeing)

So as some of you know I have started a 3 year Masters programme in implant dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute in London.
This week it kicked off with digital planning and guided surgery. It was a fantastic 3 days in London with a small group of like-minded dentists and fantastic clinical lecturers !
