🦷 Good oral health doesn’t have to be complicated but consistency makes all the difference.
A simple, effective routine (done properly) is what really keeps your teeth and gums healthy long-term ✨

• Brush twice a day for 2 minutes with fluoride toothpaste 🪥
• Plaque is bacteria that can cause decay & gum disease 🦠
• Brush last thing at night + one other time daily ⏰
• Electric and manual brushes are both effective 🪥
• Adults: use at least 1,350 ppm fluoride toothpaste 🧴
• Clean all surfaces of your teeth (inside, outside, chewing) 🦷
• Spit, don’t rinse after brushing 🚫💧
• Clean between teeth daily (floss/interdental brushes) 🧵

If you’re ever unsure about your routine or what’s right for you, our team is always happy to help 💙

🦷✨ School years are a big milestone for growing smiles!

From around age six, adult teeth begin to appear, including the first adult molars right at the back of the mouth. These teeth arrive early and need extra care to help them stay strong for life 💙

A few simple habits make a big difference:
🪥 Brush twice a day with fluoride toothpaste
⏱️ Brush for two minutes
✨ Spit, don’t rinse after brushing
🥕 Choose tooth-friendly snacks where possible
💧 Water or milk between meals is best

Children still need support with brushing until at least age seven and sometimes a few reminders after that too 👀

Regular dental visits help us spot any issues early and support healthy, confident smiles as children grow 🌟
Our children’s membership helps families stay on top of regular dental care and build healthy habits from an early age 💙

Would you share a toothbrush? 👀

It might sound harmless, especially in an emergency but toothbrushes carry bacteria from the mouth and sharing them can spread:

🦷 Tooth decay bacteria
🦷 Gum disease bacteria
🦷 Cold sores and infections
🦷 Other viruses and illnesses

For healthy smiles, everyone should always have their own toothbrush and store them separately where possible 💙
And don’t forget, toothbrushes should be replaced every 2–3 months too! ✨

🦷 Myth: Sugar is the only problem for teeth...

Fact: It’s not just how much sugar you have, it’s how often you have it. Frequent sugary snacks and drinks throughout the day increase the risk of tooth decay 🍭

Giving your teeth time between sugary foods and drinks really helps protect them 💙

🦷 Myth: Rinsing with water after brushing is best...

Fact: After brushing, it’s better to spit out any excess toothpaste and avoid rinsing with water. This helps the fluoride stay on your teeth for longer and continue protecting them ✨

A small change to your routine can make a big difference!

🩸 Do your gums bleed when you brush?

Many people think bleeding gums are normal, or stop brushing when they see blood. But bleeding gums are often an early sign of gum disease.

The good news? Early action can really help ✨
🪥 Continue brushing gently twice a day
🦷 Clean carefully along the gumline and between teeth
📞 Seek dental advice if bleeding continues

Healthy gums are just as important as healthy teeth 💙

🥦🦷 What you eat has a huge impact on your smile!

This Smile Month, we’re highlighting the important link between a healthy diet and healthy teeth & gums 💙
Your mouth goes through a cycle every time you eat or drink, some foods help protect your teeth, while others can increase the risk of tooth decay and gum disease.

✨ Foods rich in calcium and vitamin D help keep enamel strong
🍓 Vitamin C supports healthy gums
🥕 Crunchy vegetables help stimulate saliva and naturally clean teeth
💧 Water helps wash away food particles and neutralise acids

It’s not about cutting everything out, it’s about balance, variety, and making tooth-friendly choices where you can.
A healthy smile starts with healthy habits 🪥

🦷 Myth: Baby teeth don’t matter because they fall out anyway...

Fact: Baby teeth play a really important role in eating, speaking, and guiding adult teeth into the correct position!

Looking after little smiles early helps build healthy habits for life 💙
