Well done to our principal dentist Ali who along with his family completed the Chris hoys Tour de 4 l at the Sir Chris Hoy velodrome last Sunday. 🚲🥇

This amazing event is about raising awareness of people living with stage 4 cancer. Ali and family completed this in aid of St Columbus hospice who were there to support his sister and family when her husband Paul was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. 💛

Snoring is very common and is not usually caused but anything serious. There are things that can help if it’s a problem.
Snoring is caused but things such as your tongue, mouth, throat or airways in your nose vibrating as you breathe.
You are more likely to snore if you are overweight, if you smoke or drink too much alcohol or you sleep on your back. Sometimes it’s caused by a condition like sleep apnoea.

What is sleep apnoea? 🤔

Sleep apnoea is when your breathing stops and starts while you sleep. The most common type is called obstructive sleep apnoea. Sleep apnoea needs to be treated because it can lead to more serious problems.

Symptoms of sleep apnoea include -
• breathing stoping and starting.
• making gasping, snorting & choking noises.
• waking up a lot during he night.
• loud snoring.
• feeling tired during the day.
• finding it hard to concentrate.
• mood swings.
