Good Afteroon!

Just a quick message to let all our patients who are trying to call the practice know - due to the weather from last night we have lost connection to our phone lines and internet.

We have been working all morning trying to get it fixed as soon as possible. If you could bear with us - we are trying our hardest to get it back up and running.

Many thanks & sorry for any inconvenience!

🦠 RE-OPENING UPDATE 🦠

We are pleased to announce that we will be able to see patients for emergencies soon!!

We are currently making the final preparations so that we can welcome our patients back in the safest environment, and plan to reopen on Monday 29th June.

However, we wish to kindly remind you that we will be open for DENTAL EMERGENCIES only - due to government guidelines, the treatment we are able to provide will be very limited, as we are currently not able to use any aerosol-producing drills.
This means we may still need to refer you onwards if your treatment cannot be completed by us at this time, for example if use of a drill is required. As we are only able to see URGENT dental issues, we are also unable to see patients for routine check-ups, and we will rearrange these for as soon as possible in the future.

We will be opening as of Monday 29th, from 9am-5pm Monday to Thursday, and 9am-4pm on Fridays.
Please note we CANNOT see walk-ins, and you must have an APPOINTMENT to be seen. Please contact us from Monday onwards to arrange these appointments if you have a dental emergency. Prior to Monday, our dentists will continue to do phone consultations for any dental problems you may have.

And finally, just a quick reminder that your visit under the new Covid-19 guidelines will be very different to your previous dentist visits :

✔️ appointment only
✖️ no walk-ins, the practice door will be locked!
✔️ please wait in your car/outside until your appointment time. We will call you when we are ready for you to enter the practice
✔️please bring your own face mask, this will be required for you to enter the practice
✔️you will be greeted by a member of staff who will be in PPE, and you will be required to use alcohol gel on your hands
✖️do not bring anyone with you (apart from essential carers)
✖️avoid bringing any personal items in wherever possible
✖️toilets and waiting room will not be accessible
✖️ you may not always be able to see your usual dentist

For any more information, please check our website. We look forward to welcoming you back soon, and would like to thank you for your support and patience during this difficult time.

🦠 COVID 19 UPDATE 🦠

Here at Craigmillar we understand how difficult the current situation has been for everyone. We would like to reassure you all that we care for you and your dental needs.

We are awaiting the next Government Update which is scheduled for 18th June which will provide more information on when the practice will be able to reopen.

The treatment we will be able provide will be very limited, however we will be more than willing to help in any way we can.

We have a new practice procedure in place for when we are able to start seeing you all again:

▪️ appointment only (unable to see walk ins)
▪️information will be sent ahead of your appointment (e.g medical forms)
▪️ arrive for appointment alone where possible
▪️please wear a mask and avoid bringing unnecessary items with you.
▪️ practice door will be locked. We will telephone you when to come to the door for your appointment to begin.
▪️ upon enetering and leaving you will be asked to sanitize your hands
▪️ the waiting room and toilets will be closed.
▪️ treatment options will be restricted - we may still have to refer you onto an Urgent Care Centre if we can not provide necessary care.

We are working tirelessly to ensure that we can welcome you back safely and as quickly as possible.

Please check our website for full New Practice Procedure.

Hi

Can anyone help? We have had an attempted food delivery here at the practice. It was attempted on Saturday.

Does anyone know of anyone waiting for food? If so, can you contact the surgery and tell us the name of the shop and customer?

Thank you
