Yesterday, the 8th October 2026, most of the team travelled to Swandlincote for a face to face training session on Autism and Learning Disabilities.

It was a very informative session run by a company called ‘Inclusive Insights Staffordshire Ltd’, delivered by facilitators and Experts with Lived Experiences of a Learning Disability and Autism.

As previously mentioned, the practice will be closed tomorrow, the 8th October, for full day training on Autism and Learning Disabilities. If you do already have a dental concern or emergency, then we do urge you to contact the practice as soon as possible today.

We will be monitoring calls during the training and we will aim to respond to urgent calls on the day; calls that aren't of a urgent nature will be responded to on Friday the 9th October.

Today marks the 10 year anniversary of Niki Kitsiou becoming the owner of Brookview Dental Care.

It’s a beautiful day outside and it truly was the best decision for her to run her own practice.

Severn Trent Water has informed us that there will be temporary traffic lights on Gotham Road outside the Fire Station from the 8th June 2026 until the 22nd July 2026.

Please be aware that car journeys to and from the practice may take longer during this time.

Today, the 12th May 2026, the practice will be closed in the afternoon from 12:30pm to allow for a face to face in-house training session for the team which benefits the surgery and all the patients we support. The phone line, 01509 856041, should still be used and a message can be left. Messages will be picked up periodically during the day.

The focus for the training is Medical Emergencies and Basic Life Support, including the use of AED.

Over the weekend we found a date where most of the team could get together and enjoy a spa day before the hectic run in to the Christmas period!
