🎓 Ryan qualified from Newcastle University in 2021 and has since gone on to enhance his skills in composite bonding, which he’s especially passionate about.

😄 He loves meeting new people and values the unique stories and experiences they bring to the chair.

Meet Rich, our Private Associate Dentist at Bupa Dental Care Durham. 🦷

With a patient-focused approach and a passion for all aspects of general restorative dentistry, Rich brings a wealth of expertise to the team. He holds an MSc in Endodontics from the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute 🎓, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Restorative Dentistry. He’s currently furthering his skills with a Certificate in Aesthetic Dentistry. ✨

Before joining Bupa Dental Care Durham, Rich served an impressive 21 years in the Armed Forces 🎖️, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel and Regional Senior Dental Officer. His career took him across the globe—from Germany 🇩🇪 and Nepal 🇳🇵 to Belize 🇧🇿, Oman 🇴🇲, and the Falklands 🇫🇰—delivering care and leading teams in diverse and demanding environments. 🌍

Outside the clinic, Rich is a former GB athlete 🇬🇧 who has completed the Marathon des Sables 🏜️ and Ironman triathlons 🏊‍♂️🚴‍♂️🏃. Now more family-focused, he enjoys running with his children, Max and Elsie 👨‍👧‍👦, and escaping to the Lake District to explore the fells 🏞️, open water swim 🏊, and mountain bike. 🚵
