Congratulations to Chris for completing the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge on a cold and wet Saturday!! Thank you to all of you who generously sponsored him, raising a total of £250.
The money raised during such events is essential for our local children's charity, Heel & Toe, to enable them to continue providing vital services for children with Cerebal Palsy in these difficult times.

Notice of re-opening

Following the government announcement that Dental Practices are able to re-open from Monday, 8th June, we are pleased to confirm that we are working hard to ensure that we will be ready to resume face-to-face appointments.

We will prioritise patients waiting for treatment according to need initially and will be getting in touch next week to arrange/confirm these appointments.

It is essential that all appointments are made by phone or email during the next few weeks as we will be unable to admit patients into the practice without a confirmed appointment.

If you need an appointment urgently, please leave a message on the practice answerphone with your contact details. We will continue to monitor and return all calls.

We are very much looking forward to returning to routine dentistry as soon as possible and would like to thank all patients and staff for their patience and understanding during this difficult time.

Covid-19 Update

We are continuing to monitor the advice of Public Health England and are providing an emergency service by appointment only. If you have a need for urgent dental care, please call the practice and leave a voicemail. Messages are monitored and you will be called back within 24hours with advice and support. Please do not attend the practice in person for any reason unless you have been invited to do so.

Urgent care includes treatment for:
* Dental and soft tissue infections.
*Severe dental and facial pain, that cannot be controlled by the patient following self-help advice.
* Fractured tooth with nerve damage.

Dental emergencies include:
Trauma - including facial laceration.
Oro-facial swelling that is significant and/or worsening.
Bleeding that the patient is not able to control.

Treatments we cannot currently undertake:
* Mild or moderate pain (not associated with an urgent care condition and that responds to pain relief measures).
*Lost crowns and fillings.

Coronavirus Update
Firstly thank you to all of our patients for their support and understanding during this difficult period. Having received updated advice and guidance from the BDA today, we feel it is now necessary to take further steps to protect our staff and patients. As a result we will be contacting all vulnerable patients (anyone who should be self-isolating) to rearrange routine appointments to reduce their exposure to potential infection. Furthermore, all dental hygiene appointments will be temporarily suspended.
The practice will continue to provide advice and emergency care and will remain open. As this is a rapidly changing situation, we will closely follow the advice from health authorities and will update this page accordingly.
Do not hesitate to contact us at the practice for further guidance or if you are at all unsure about whether to attend.

Coronavirus (Covid-19) Advice
We are currently open as usual and would like to reassure all patients that we are closely monitoring and acting on advice from Public Health England. Our routine infection prevention control measures are robust and in addition we have increased our cleaning schedule to ensure that hard surfaces in communal areas are disinfected on a frequent basis. We also request that on entering the practice, patients use the hand sanitiser on reception before sitting down. We ask that all patients follow the Government advice and self isolate as necessary.
Please be assured that we will be monitoring the situation on a daily basis and will update this advice accordingly. If you have concerns about your appointment, please contact us. We are able to reschedule appointments where necessary, but ask for as much notice as possible.

We are delighted to announce that Rola has successfully completed her dental nurse apprenticeship to become a fully qualified nurse. We are so proud of her commitment and hard work. Arriving just over 2 years ago from Syria, she has shown what can be achieved with determination and hard work. It has been a privilege having her in the practice, observing her progress and increase in confidence. A massive well done from us all!
