We decided to don our festive knits in the name of Save the Children and our patients got behind us, raising and donating £50!🎉

November is Mouth Cancer Awareness Month💙
•
The number of brave people losing their life to mouth cancer is increasing. Latest figures show that within 12 months, more than 2,700 people in the United Kingdom, 23,000 in Europe and 145,000 worldwide, have passed away because of mouth cancer.   
•
Those been diagnosed has increased by nearly two-thirds in the last decade and this is predicted to rise further over the coming years to come.
•
Although soft tissue checks are part of our routine check up protocol, don’t wait till your next check up to get checked especially if you have a doubt about a lump, bump, ulcer or white/red patch in your mouth, head & neck area. “If in doubt, get checked out”

Do your research and due diligence- dentistry is expensive to deliver and therefore expensive to have done. “Cheap” dentistry should ring alarm bells. Always ask your dentist for a second opinion - we are here to best advise you and keep you safe. ❤️🦷

We will be closed on the 3rd of June 2022 to mark the Jubilee Public Holiday - should you need any dental advice or emergency care please call NHS 24 on 111.

We will be back 9am Monday the 6th of June as per normal.

💫 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴?:
We are still working tirelessly to get all our registrants seen. Relaxation of our covid restrictions have been welcomed to both staff and patients - as required by our health-board, like the GPs and Hospitals, we do however ask that you still attend with face masks. Thank you

Due to the unprecedented backlog of NHS treatment with our existing NHS registered patients, we are still unable to accept new NHS patients at this time.

Although our NHS patient list is unable to accommodate new patients at this time, you may be interested in joining our practice as a Private or Denplan patient. If this is of interest please don’t hesitate to get in contact and our reception team will help you answer any questions you may have.

Gaps between teeth, also known as “Black Triangles” are a common risk after straightening teeth or stabilising gum disease.
•
Although no detriment to the health of a smile, it can be an aesthetic issue.
•
However, very fixable with carefully placed white filling material. Time, precision and care.
•
Recent case using modern techniques to re-establish how the teeth meet all whilst ensuring a cleansable and invisible touch up. 💫

Katherine joined our team in November as our trainee. Katherine knows all about professionalism, empathy and patient care, having worked within the social care sector throughout the pandemic. She has been a wonderful asset to our Whitehall Dental Team.

Caitlin our newest member, qualified as a Dental nurse in 2019. She starts her first week with us at Whitehall and is integrating wonderfully as a member of the team. Caitlin has a fine eye for detail and is eager to further her skill set at Whitehall.
