Introducing Castlebank Dental 🏰🦷

We’re delighted to introduce Castlebank Dental — the new home for our dental practice at:

📍 27 Castle Street, Dumfries, DG1 1DL

The name Castlebank Dental was chosen with our history very much in mind. It pays homage to the decades of care provided at Bank Street, while also marking an exciting new chapter as we make the move to Castle Street.

From Tuesday, we’ll begin phasing existing patient appointments across to Castlebank Dental.

Please keep a close eye on your texts, voicemails and emails for any updates about where your upcoming appointment will take place.

As we settle into our new home, we’ll also begin welcoming additional new NHS patients in phases. Make sure to follow our new dedicated Instagram and pages, where we’ll be sharing regular updates, behind-the-scenes photos, appointment information, new patient registration updates and anything else you need to know.

New NHS patient registrations have now been paused.

We’d like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding. We will post another update on our Facebook and Instagram pages as soon as we are able to reopen registrations.

Good morning 🙂

We’re happy to announce that, once again, for a limited time, we’re taking on new NHS patients.

We have a dedicated phone line for this, which will be open from 1:45 pm until 4:30 pm today.

Please call us on 01387 406106.

Please note: This line is for new patient registrations only.

Thanks again to everyone who recently added their name to our NHS registration list.

Our team has now worked through the list and attempted to contact those who are ready to be offered an appointment ✅ If you have received a voicemail, text message or email from us and would still like to register, please contact the practice by Friday!

Unfortunately, where we do not hear back by Friday, we will assume that you no longer wish to proceed and may offer the available appointment to another person on the list. As you can imagine, many people are waiting to be seen, so a prompt response is greatly appreciated.

We will continue to contact patients directly as further appointments become available.

For those who have already been contacted or booked in, a quick 👍 in the comments would be greatly appreciated also. This helps reassure others that the list is actively moving.

Our team is now working through the current list and contacting people to arrange their first appointments. Please keep an eye on your phone and check your voicemail and text messages as we may make more than one attempt to reach you 📞

We appreciate your patience while the team works through the list as quickly as possible.

If we are unable to contact you, or do not receive a response, by the end of July, we may need to release the available appointment to another person waiting on the list ‼️

There is no need to call the practice to check your place on the list — we will contact you directly as soon as an appointment becomes available!

Many thanks for those who put down their names to register with us. We've already started booking appointments so please be on the lookout and listen to your voicemail.

For all our loyal patients, Hakeem, our practice principal would like to extend a personal apology. You've probably seen him 'hanging about' while you're being booked with a different dentist. It's because we have more dentists than we have rooms! We've found ourselves in this unique position hence the need to relocate. We're taking on an additional dentist in September making 5 full time equivalent dentists! So,for those who would like to register with us, be patient, more slots to come!

As you're aware, our practice is in the process of moving premises, which we aim to complete in the next couple of months.

As we expand the practice, we plan to take on more NHS patients and will be recruiting patients in phases. If you are interested in registering with us, please fill in the form below. Please note that this is for those who have not been previously registered with us.

It is our pleasure to announce that Bank Street Dental Surgery will be expanding to a new, larger premises to better serve our patients and the Dumfries & Galloway community!

For all of our loyal patients, please be reassured that we will continue to provide the same high standard of care as a fully NHS practice — proudly keeping you smiling since 1986 😀

Our new location will be:
27 Castle Street, Dumfries, DG1 1DL 📍

All existing patients will automatically remain with us, and there is nothing you need to do. We’ll also be taking on new patients so please keep an eye on our socials as we’ll soon be opening a waiting list and taking details in the near future.

Bank Street Dental will remain a dental practice but under new ownership so for those patients who wish to remain there, they would be free to do so.
