Two generations of dentists, one practice.

Meet Dr Ken Aylward and Dr Siegfried Aylward - father and son, working side by side here at Sedgemead House.

There’s something quietly reassuring about a practice where dentistry has been passed from one generation to the next. Ken’s decades of clinical experience, combined with the newest techniques and technology we bring in today, means our patients get the best of both worlds. The wisdom that only comes with time, and the benefits of modern care.

Since 1912, Sedgemead House has been looking after generations of families across Dover, Deal, Folkestone and the wider East Kent area. We feel very lucky to still be doing exactly that today and to be doing it together.

A little refresh in the waiting room.

Two of our new chairs have arrived, with four more on the way. We wanted to create a space that feels calm, comfortable, and a world away from what people sometimes imagine when they picture a dental waiting room.

Because how you feel before you sit in the chair matters just as much as the care you receive when you do. A quiet corner, a comfortable seat, a bit of natural light — small details, but they add up to a very different kind of visit.

Pop in and see them for yourself next time you’re with us.
