Large periapical lesion healing after only 3 months! Single visit.
Instrumentation-hyflex EDM up to 50/03.
Irrigation- hypo 5.25%, EDTA 17%, CHX 2%, PUI.
Obturation- Totalfil bc sealer, GP, WVC.

UR2 presented with a palatal groove, and 4 mm perio probing. Tooth deemed necrotic based upon radiographic appearance and lack of response to cold tests.
Rct performed over 2 visits.
I cannot remember ever seeing a lateral canal located that coronal. It is most probably associated with this groove.

Went fishing for some guttapercha.

Separated rotary instrument removal from mesial system of LR7. Lots of fine ultrasonic activation, high magnification and patience. Retreatment case, the crown will be replaced in due time.

2 years review of LR6. Non surgical retreatment. ML canal had some resorption, so I sealed in with bioceramic putty (using the Shavit-Zemurg pellet former).

12 months review of this lower anterior case. LL2 and LR2 retreated orthograde. LL1 and LR1 retreated orthograde and apical surgery performed (due to persistent non draining abscess).

18 months review of this large lesion on LR6.

A pt was referred for assessmentand treatment of his LL1 and LL2 (32,31).
The LL1 was resected 5 months ago elsewhere but the non draining abscess persisted. Pre op radiograph showed PAP associated with both LL1 and LL2. The LL2 had poorly condensed root filling and metallic apical plug. A CBCT scan revealed that LL2 had also chronic apical periodontitis. It has been decided to try first non surgical retreatment of the LL2, due to its poor coronal root filling and to attempt and remove the (most probably) corroded metallic plug. Will review the situation in 6 months.

LL7 with C Shaped canal and J shaped lesion. These conical root are highly susceptible to perpendicular fractures. Lucky enough, there was no fracture, and the endo-perio lesion disappeared after 6 months.
