Due to an unforeseen failure of equipment we have unfortunately had to cancel all patient appointments today. NHS Lanarkshire are aware of our situation and we are trying to get it resolved as quickly as possible. An engineer is scheduled to come at 8am tomorrow to assess the problem.

We are still available to help those who have a dental emergency today but unfortunately the range of treatment we can provide is extremely limited.

We are hoping that we will be back to our normal working conditions following the engineer visit tomorrow but due to the disruption we are expecting to receive a large number of calls in the morning. If you have a dental problem that isn’t urgent we would be grateful if you could contact us later in the week.

We apologise for the inconvenience and we appreciate your understanding while we try to resolve this unexpected issue.

‼️STORM EOWYN PATIENT UPDATE‼️

Due to the red weather warning issued by the met office for tomorrow, the practice will be closed. Patients who have appointments booked for tomorrow should not attend and will have been sent a text message to this effect.

We have made arrangements to create extra emergency space on Monday 27th January to accommodate those patients who have had a dental emergency over the weekend and have been unable to access care. The practice will reopen as usual on Monday 27th January at 8.30am.

If you feel you have a problem that cannot wait until then, please send an email to [email protected] between 9am- 6pm tomorrow and we will reply with advice or call NHS 24 on 111 after 6pm.

Today we said goodbye to one of our longest serving members of staff, Linda McGoldrick. After eighteen years of service on our reception she left us today to start her very well deserved retirement. She will be missed by staff and patients alike and we wish her all the best.

Happy retirement Linda!! ❤️

The practice will reopen on Tuesday 20th September at 8.30am.

I grabbed an early morning coffee in the big apple before heading home, and saw this sign in the shop. How true! Be kind to those who show up. Everywhere. Be kind to yourself for showing up. Assume everyone is doing their best, trying their hardest.
We can all make it easier for another person. Smile, be patient, acknowledge the humanity, and keep showing up!

Unfortunately the practice is suffering from a shortage of staff at the moment due to illness.

We apologise if your appointment has to be cancelled and will try to rearrange it as soon as possible.

In addition to this, please do not be offended if we ask you to wear a face mask. Despite regulations changing, the advice is that they should still be worn in a healthcare setting to protect our most vulnerable patients and our staff.

We hope to return to full staff levels soon and thank you for your patience and understanding.
