COVID-19 Customer Update.

Signature Ceramics currently remains open as usual and we aim to keep the service we provide as close to normal as possible.

We would like to reassure you that we are following the highest levels of cross infection control along with updates from the Chief Dental Officer in order to protect our colleagues and clients.

We remain open to accept cases and all existing work in the laboratory is on schedule to be completed and returned as per return-dates requested.

Meet the team! Craig Holmes - Lead Dental Technician.

Craig has been a dental technician for twenty-four years and brings a wealth of experience to our team. His career initially began with working in various departments in a commercial lab before becoming a ceramist there.

Throughout Craig's time at Signature Ceramics and out-with leading the lab team, he has expanded his skill set by mastering CAD/CAM design, smile design, 3D printing technology and numerous implant systems. Craig goes on to say:

"The digital changes in the whole dental industry have been great for the profession and compliments the workflow we follow. As a team we have embraced the digital challenges and every one of us has a solid understanding of what we require to be doing now whilst looking for opportunities to learn so we remain at the cutting edge of technology".

A highlight of Craig’s working day is seeing his colleagues take on a case from start to finish and having great pride in their work. This too is the case for himself as he states:

“Personally I enjoy being part of the patient’s journey, especially complex implant/aesthetic cases where by providing them with a new smile, I play a part in improving their confidence and general well being. Being part of Care Dental & Implant Clinic allows us this opportunity on a regular basis.

Meet the team! Chris Campbell - Dental Technician

Chris qualified as a technician in 2016 having studied in Edinburgh before joining Signature Ceramics in 2017, during this time he has proven himself to be an integral part of the team. Chris was lured into dentistry through his interest in digital technology, this combined with liking a hands-on approach, meant that being a dental technician was the ideal profession. When asked about a case he was particularly proud of, Chris recalls:

“One refurb of a full arch historical case sticks out, the clinician and I worked closely with the patient. We stripped back all the porcelain and composite and using some old photos of the patient we managed to get them their original smile back. The patient was really happy with the results and I was too!”

Regarding what advice or feedback Chris would give to a clinician, he states:

“Try to build a good relationship and get to know the technicians you work with, you’ll find out what we do and how this can benefit you and your patients. Better still, come and visit us!”

Great to see this Patients treatment plan complete, what a fantastic result!

This lovely patient was self conscious, and hated wearing her dentures. She has just completed her treatment with Dr Bruce Strickland and Dr Graeme Bacchus, and as you can see is absolutely delighted with the results! Signature Ceramics Digital
