🦷 LITTLE TEETH NEED BIG CARE! 🪥✨

Helping children build good brushing habits from an early age can help keep their smiles happy and healthy as they grow.

Here are a few simple tips for parents:

🪥 Brush twice a day – last thing at night and the morning.

⏰ Brush for around 2 minutes – a song or little timer can make it more fun!

🦷 Use a fluoride toothpaste – children under 3 only need a smear, while children aged 3–6 should use a pea-sized amount.

💦 Spit, don’t rinse – encourage your child to spit out the toothpaste without rinsing with water, so the fluoride can continue protecting their teeth.

👨‍👩‍👧 Give them a helping hand – children usually need help or supervision with brushing until at least age 7.

🍭 Keep sugary snacks and drinks to mealtimes – it’s how often teeth are exposed to sugar that really matters.

💙 And remember, baby teeth matter too! Keeping them healthy helps children eat, speak and gives their adult teeth the best possible start.

🦷 WHAT IS ROOT CANAL TREATMENT?

Root canal treatment is used to save a tooth when the nerve inside has become inflamed or infected.

This can happen because of:
• Deep decay
• A cracked or damaged tooth
• An infection or dental abscess
• Previous trauma to the tooth

During treatment, your dentist carefully removes the infected tissue from inside the tooth, cleans and disinfects the area, then seals the tooth to help prevent further infection.

Despite its reputation, root canal treatment shouldn’t be painful — the tooth is numbed with local anaesthetic, just like when having a filling.

✨ The aim? To relieve pain, clear infection and, most importantly, save your natural tooth.
