But are you also sh*t scared of it going wrong? 😳

You’re definitely not alone. If you want a natural-looking result and a treatment you can feel confident about, here’s my checklist for choosing your injector:

✨ 1. Choose a qualified medical professional.
Dermal filler is a medical procedure and, although complications are uncommon, they can happen. You want someone who knows how to recognise a problem, manage it appropriately and has the right emergency protocols and medication available.

✨ 2. Look for proper medical and anatomy training.
Medical professionals have undergone years of education in anatomy, physiology, assessment and managing complications — not simply learning where to place filler.

No hate towards anyone non-medical… but when it comes to your face, these things matter. IYKYK. 👀

✨ 3. Find someone who genuinely cares.
This one can be harder to measure, but it matters SO much. You should never feel rushed, pressured or like you’re simply the next appointment.

I care a hell of a lot about my patients 🥰 and sometimes the best treatment plan is actually knowing when not to inject.

✨ 4. Choose someone who actually understands filler.
And I don’t just mean knowing how to inject it.

Different fillers have different rheological properties, structural characteristics and behaviours within the tissue. Understanding how a product integrates and behaves is an important part of choosing the right filler, in the right amount, for the right patient.

Because natural results aren’t just about where you put filler — they’re about understanding what you’re putting there and why.

✨ 5. Choose someone who makes you feel safe.
You should feel comfortable asking questions. You should feel listened to. And you should never feel silly for being nervous.

A little empathy goes a very long way when someone is holding a needle near your face! 😂

Nearly four years ago, we were randomly paired together on a training day… and somehow I ended up finding one of my favourite people in aesthetics. 🤍
