We would like to thank all our patients who attend their appointments as scheduled and give us plenty of notice if they need to rearrange.

Unfortunately, over the last week, more than 4.5 hours of clinical time has been lost due to missed appointments and short-notice cancellations

We completely understand that unexpected circumstances can arise. However, missed appointments have a significant impact on our ability to provide NHS dental care. The NHS does not reimburse practices for appointments that are missed or cancelled at short notice. Our nursing staff are still paid for this time.

To ensure we can continue offering NHS dentistry and make appointments available to those who need them, we must apply our cancellation and failed-to-attend policy consistently.

As a reminder:

⭐ **New NHS patients** must attend their first appointment. If this appointment is missed, no further NHS appointments will be offered.

⭐ **Existing NHS patients** who have two failed appointments (either missed appointments or short-notice cancellations) within a two-year period will not be offered anymore NHS appointments.

⭐ **NHS Unscheduled Care appointments** that are missed or cancelled at short notice cannot be rebooked under the NHS. Any further care will be offered on a private basis only.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. By attending appointments or providing as much notice as possible when changes are needed, you help us provide timely care for all our patients and support the continued provision of NHS dentistry within our practice.
