💖💖 Fundraising Hike completed! 💖💖

Our fundraising journey officially began on Saturday with an unforgettable challenge in the Lake District.

We set out to complete 10 miles, but we ended up doing a bit more than that! With steep hills, muddy trails, and even a stretch of water nearly a foot deep we had to wade through, it certainly tested us. Thankfully the team rose to the challenge and completed every step for amazing causes and for Kate. 💗

We’re so grateful for the beautiful, unexpected send-off at the start line that meant so much to us, to Hannah at Terrace Cupcakes and to Helen for the treats that kept us going.

A massive congratulations to everyone who took part and an even bigger THANK YOU to the 138 generous supporters who have already donated. We are overwhelmed by your kindness and support!

Back in May we sadly lost a much-loved and highly respected member of our team, Kate Phillips.

The team at Front Street has been deeply affected by Kate's passing and only now do we feel able to share our grief. Her loss has been profoundly felt by everyone who knew her.

Kate will be remembered not only for her exceptional skill and dedication as a dental nurse and leader, but also for her warmth, friendship, infectious smile and the positive impact she had on so many.

Kate was devoted to her profession, passionate about patient care and an integral part of the Front Street family. Her kindness, expertise and unwavering support for both colleagues and patients left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Whilst on maternity leave, Kate was diagnosed with breast cancer at just 26 years of age. Throughout her illness she showed extraordinary courage and determination but tragically Kate passed away four months later at the age of 27, leaving behind her loving husband, family, friends, and her precious son who was just nine months old.

Kate's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will forever remain a cherished part of our team and her legacy of kindness, care and compassion will never be forgotten.

In the lead-up to Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October our team will be taking part in a series of fundraising events in memory of Kate, raising money for breast cancer charities.

Our first event will take place on Saturday 12th September when we will be embarking on a 10-mile hike in the Lake District. Hiking was one of Kate's passions and we know she will be in our thoughts throughout the journey.

Any support, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated. Donations can be made via our link below, QR code or in cash at Reception.

Online Donations will automatcally go to Breast Cancer Now via JustGiving, any further donations will be shared between Coppafeel and Breast Cancer Research.

Kate is deeply missed by us all and we are proud to honour her memory while raising funds for such important causes.
