“Braces are for life.” 😬 🦷

That’s the one thing most people don’t realise.

Once your teeth have been moved, they will always have a tendency to shift back — sometimes years later, even if everything has been perfectly straight.

That’s why wearing your retainers is essential.

At The Bay Orthodontics, we generally advise:
• Every night for the first year
• Then every other night for a couple of years
• Then gradually tapering down to one night per week for life

Because if you want your smile to stay exactly where we’ve placed it…
retainers aren’t optional - they’re part of the treatment.
