We are looking for a dentist who shares our commitment to providing a high standard of patient care and who would like to play an active role in helping us develop the team and practice further.

In-house referral network for:
Endodontics
Oral Surgery
Implants
Periodontal Surgery
Orthodontics

This would be an excellent opportunity for a new graduate looking to develop into a confident and highly skilled general dentist, with the support of experienced clinicians in a well valued practice.

Position details
Days: 4 days per week
Remuneration: 45% split
Mixture of Plan and Private Patients
Well-established patient list
Newly integrated Carestack practice management system
Fully digital practice
Digital X-rays and CBCT
Primescan intraoral scanner

The on call dentist for August Bank Holiday weekend the 29/30/31st August 2026 is Curzon street Dental. Please call 01900 812109 for private emergency dental treatment. There will be a call out fee for this service of £250.00 if you are a member of patient plan you can claim this back. NHS patients please call 111.🦷🦷 🦷

Be prepared for next Wednesday, as The Tour Of Britain launches in Cockermouth town centre. Below are brief details of road closures, parking options, and a link to the Cumberland Council's dedicated webpage. 🚴‍♀️ 🚴‍♀️

FULL ROAD CLOSURES - to accommodate the start and finish areas and infrastructure:
▪︎ Main Street and Station Street will be closed from 4am until 6.30pm.
▪︎ South Street will be closed from 7am until 5pm.
▪︎ Crown Street, Sullart Street and Gallowbarrow will also be closed between 9am and 11.30am.

Other roads on the route will be subject to rolling road closures, meaning traffic will be temporarily held for short periods.

PARKING OPTIONS - for residents, businesses and visitors:
▪︎ Riverside CA13 9NR (long stay).
▪︎ Lorton Street CA13 9RH (long stay).
▪︎ Cockermouth Rugby Club CA13 9XQ.

🚴‍♀️ The route is officially revealed!

On Wednesday 19 August, Cumberland will host the opening stage of the Lloyds Tour of Britain Women 2026.

Starting and finishing in Cockermouth, the world's best riders will tackle 158.9km through Frizington, Whitehaven, Workington, Maryport, Silloth, Wigton, Caldbeck, Aspatria and more before returning to Cockermouth. This will be the longest stage of the race and will showcase some of Cumberland's most spectacular scenery.
