This week is ๐ก๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐น ๐๐๐๐ถ๐๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ ๐ช๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ธ, but have you ever wondered why we refer to them as ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐น ๐ก๐๐ฟ๐๐ฒ๐ in the UK? ๐ชฅ
Well, it is more than just a name. In the UK, Dental Nurses are so-called because they are And like their colleagues, they register with the General Dental Council (GDC). The title reflects their formal training, clinical responsibilities and since 2008, their mandatory registration. ๐ฆท
In addition to caring for patients, being responsible keeping the clinical environment safe, recording dental charting and providing chairside support, Dental Nurses can also pursue additional skills including taking radiographs, assisting with conscious sedation or providing Oral Health Education. โค๏ธ
This week, we are giving a shout out to our hard-working ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐น ๐ก๐๐ฟ๐๐ฒ๐, without whom, Morwenna Dental Care simply couldnโt run.
Thank you all ๐ซถ๐ผ
