Happy 40th Birthday to my wonderful wife ❤️

She is truly the most beautiful person — inside and out. Thoughtful, intelligent and quietly powerful. She never feels the need to fill silence with meaningless words, but when she speaks, people listen. Her words are considered, honest and meaningful.

Don’t mistake her quiet nature for weakness. She stands firmly by her principles, speaks up when it matters and is fiercely loyal to the people she loves. She sees the good in people and is the protector and rock for so many around her.

And my God… to watch her on a football pitch is a privilege. The talent and football intelligence she has is unreal — we joke she’s in the Matrix. I genuinely can’t imagine football without her.

As a wife, she has stood beside me in my proudest moments and held me together in my lowest. She is my biggest cheerleader, my safe place and the person whose opinion I value most.

Over the last two years, through the hardest chapter of our lives, she has become the most incredible mother figure to Thomas — advocating for him, creating a home where he can thrive and constantly putting others before herself.

I am a better person because I know her and love her. To be loved by her feels like the greatest gift.

We once joked about what we’d wish for if we had one genie wish. Mine would honestly just be for my wife to always find me funny… because her laugh makes my heart so full.

Straight from Dr Dee, if you’re wearing Invisalign, this bit matters 🤍

20-22 hours a day. Every day.

Yes, you can take your aligners out to eat, drink, and properly clean your teeth (which we love for your oral hygiene) but they only work if they’re actually in.

Out for meals? Perfect.
Out all day? Not so much.

Consistency is what gets you that clean, straight smile at the end.

Stay disciplined, trust the process, and put them back in. Every time!

Still slightly surreal seeing my story shared on Dr Manrina Rhode’s podcast.

This conversation was meant to be about much more than teeth.
It was about reinvention. Burnout. Finding your niche. Building a career on your own terms. And why associates — especially women in dentistry — don’t have to wait for permission to create something bigger.

A few years ago I was close to leaving dentistry completely.
Now I’m building a career I genuinely love — centred around smile design, Invisalign, aesthetics, mentoring and creating opportunities that align with who I actually am.

Little did she know… her life was about to change. ✨

October 2020.
13 years into being an NHS general dentist.

And if I’m honest?
I was burning out.

I was exhausted, emotionally drained, and starting to wonder if I could even continue in dentistry long term. I genuinely felt like I had reached a crossroads:

Quit dentistry… or find something else within it that reignited me.

This was my first Invisalign training day.
A small virtual course during the middle of the pandemic.

At the time, I had absolutely no idea how much that one decision would change my career — and honestly, my life.

Because Invisalign didn’t just give me a new skill.
It gave me creativity back.
Confidence back.
Passion back.

Fast forward to now…
