At Bigby Street Dental Practice childrens oral health is a top priority.

We have now carried out our second visit to two local primary schools, where some of our staff provided dental examinations for the pupils. We believe this is a great opportunity to see those children who may not visit a dentist regularly.

Poor Oral Hygiene can lead to tooth decay, which can cause severe pain, discomfort, and even abscesses requiring hospital treatment

Regular Dental check-ups are important to help monitor oral hygiene and spot and early signs of tooth decay to help prevent any pain and discomfort.

Do you know how va**ng affects your oral health? 🦷🪥

For Mouth Cancer Action Month, our waiting room display has some statistics and information on how va**ng affects your oral health, what you can do to maintain good oral hygiene and how to do a 2 minute self-check to help you look for any signs or symptoms of Mouth Cancer.

It’s important to visit your dentist regularly so we can also examine your mouth, face and neck for any signs or symptoms.

We have found our kids days to be very successful and are proving to be a good dental experience for all children.

We have now allocated three more sessions for next year during the February half term and the Easter holidays. If your children are registered at our practice and are due for their dental examinations during this time period you can now book into one of these sessions.

Do you have a Dental Problem?
We run Urgent Access Sessions three times a week, you do not have to be registered with us to book an appointment in these sessions, however appointments are limited.

We are gradually offering a limited amount of appointments to patients FROM OUR WAITING LIST. (Which is now closed, due to the high volume of names on the list)

However we've noticed a high number of missed appointments (fail-to-attends) once appointments are booked. If you fail to attend your first appointment you will not be offered another with us.

Like many NHS dental practices, our waiting list is extremely long, and we know there are many people in urgent need of dental care.

If you are offered an appointment, please make every effort to attend.

Missed appointments waste valuable time and delay care for others who are waiting.

We completed our second kids day here at Bigby Street Dental yesterday.

All the children seen have been very well behaved and enjoyed their visit to the dentist 🦷🪥 even the little ones. Well done Callum 😁
