Imagine going through 300,000 teeth in a lifetime! 🦈🦷

Unlike sharks, we only get two natural sets of teeth to last us our whole life. That’s why keeping up with regular check-ups and a solid routine is so important!

🍵 Trading morning coffee for matcha? 🍵

Your teeth might actually thank you!

✨ The Good:

Inhibits cavity-causing bacteria

Anti-inflammatory properties protect your gums

Helps combat bad breath

⚠️ The Watch-Outs:

Natural pigments can cause surface staining

Syrups in cafe lattes cause holes in our teeth—opt for unsweetened!

💡 Top Tip: Swish with plain water after your cup to keep enamel stain-free.

✨ Brightening Smiles ✨

Check out this fantastic result from Tom! 🦷

Did you know that professional tooth whitening is often the essential first step in treating white spot lesions? By lifting the overall shade of the surrounding teeth, it creates a much brighter, refreshed baseline—making it far easier to achieve a beautiful, uniform smile!

"Don't try this at home! 🚫

Even though I’m a dentist, I definitely do NOT recommend using your teeth as tools. Opening bottles with your pearly whites is a recipe for a chipped tooth—and a much less fun trip to see me. Keep the bottles for the weekend and let me keep the tools in the surgery! 🦷🍺

It’s a strange thought, isn’t it? 🦷

Save this post 📌 to remind yourself why that two-minute brush is the most important part of your day!

Be honest… is it every 3 months, or are you still using the one that’s been through several life events with you? 😅

Dentists recommend changing your toothbrush every 3 months. Why?

🦷 The bristles become worn and less effective at cleaning your teeth
🦷 Old brushes can harbour bacteria
🦷 Frayed bristles don’t clean along the gumline properly

A good tip: Change your toothbrush with the seasons – spring, summer, autumn, winter. If the bristles start looking like they’ve had a stressful week… it’s definitely time.

Your toothbrush works hard twice a day – give it a well-deserved retirement every 3 months! 🪥
