Lovely words from a client yesterday

Yesterday we had lovely Charlotte from Northern Horse Dentistry come to do a routine visit for Sunny and Paris.

In the past Sunny has found dental visits quite stressful, so I've been working hard in preparation to try and make this as positive an experience as possible.

Charlotte was fantastic at paying attention to Sunny's body language and really took her time when Sunny needed her to. This meant she was able to get the job done without the need for sedation and without sacrificing the sanity of anyone involved!

Training for a dental procedure is not something at the forefront of everyone's mind (A, it happens about once a year and B, who on earth has that contraption sat in the back of their car?!) 😂 However, often due to an accumulation of triggers, the whole experience can become really stressful and even dangerous for all involved, and leave you worrying about the next visit.

Whilst I don't think any horses enjoy having their teeth done, there are lots of little things you can do in preparation of a dental visit that can help reduce your horse's stress during the procedure. As an ABTC-certified Animal Training Instructor I am equipped with skills to help you and your equine so that you can:

💯 Undertake procedures without the need for extreme constraint or sedation
💯 Prevent dangerous behaviours during the procedure
💯 Feel confident about your equine's next visit
💯 Improve your horse's mental well being and overall experience of the procedure

Is there anything cuter?!?!?

Noodles defies his breed and is impeccably behaved! It’s been a long gradual process but we have finally managed to rebalance his chaotic mouth thanks to the dedication of his fabulous owner.
