Restorative dentistry in Early Modern Scotland: archaeological evidence of the use of a gold ligature describes the earliest known example of restorative dentistry from Scotland, a gold ligature fixed to lower incisors in a man from Aberdeen (1460β1670 CE), forming a bridge for a potentially missing tooth.
